BAMS is a bachelor's level degree program in Ayurveda in which a student who has completed his 10+2 with PCB combination of subjects can apply.
Sanskrit is educated in the early year of B.A.M.S, as a distinct subject. But the education does not happen in the Sanskrit language. Students from any region of our country can study in these colleges.
Abundant of the teaching occurs in English / Hindi and a relatively minor portion is educated in Sanskrit. But you need to have basic knowledge of this language, as you have to understand and memorize many shlokas. These shlokas will have English translations also.
