This year the total applicants are 2.3 lakhs for Delhi university.this year number increased than previous year.

Over 2.14 lakh students have registered on the Delhi University's website for admissions to undergraduate courses this year till Tuesday. The registration process has been started on May 30 and will be ending on June 14,2019 for undergraduate courses. The first cut off list is likely to be released on June 20, 2019 . The. Fourth and fifth cut off list will be released on July 4 and July 9 respectively. Till now 2,14,322 students have been registered and 1,15,999 have been made payments. Out of total number of registration 73363 aspirants are from the unreserved category. 20317 from other backward classes 16815 from schedule casts 3379 from schedule tribes 2142 from the economically weaker section. This year the university has 10% increase in seats for the economically weaker section.

  • Number of students
Till now, 2,14,322 students have been registered and 1,15,999 have been made payments, the university said. Out of the total number of registrations, 73,363 aspirants are from the unreserved category, 20,317 from other backward classes, 16,815 from Scheduled Castes, 3,379 from Scheduled Tribes and 2,142 from the Economically Weaker Section (EWS).

  • Number of seats increased
This year, the university has effected a 10 percent increase in seats for the EWS and there will be a rise of close to 6,000 seats, taking the total number of seats for undergraduate courses to 62,000.

Dear Anant, According to data released by DU on Sunday, more female students have applied this year than males. While 1,29,753 female students have applied for admission, 1,28,634 male students have filled application forms. English has again been the top choice for applicants with almost 1.43 lakh applying for the course.

The total number of applications for admissions to Delhi University has dropped by 20,000 this year to 2.58 lakh, compared with last years 2.78 lakh.
