What is the Transverse Section (TS) of the leaf?
Transverse Section is the cross-section which is obtained by cutting the leaf horizontally which separates the leaf into top and bottom halves. The transverse section of the leaf contains upper and lower epidermis with lamina as a midpoint and cut is perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the leaf. It also consists of mesophyll and veins composed of xylem and phloem.
