What is the use of catagory rank
Dear Student,
As I assume that you are some kind of confused with the counseling and the terms regarding your Category Rank and I will try my level best to conclude your query satisfactorily mentioned below.
1. Counseling can be of two types:
(1) ALL India Counselling and (2) State Counselling
In All India Counselling, you get admission based on your NEET Score and its position among All Indian candidates who applied and qualified for the exam and registered.
In-State Counselling, you get admission based on your NEET Score and its position among All Indian candidates who are among your state and some from other states as well who applied and qualified for the exam and registered.
2. In the word, counseling suggests that help is offered itself to the candidate to assure his/her admission based on their respective performance and punctuality to the deadlines to fill the forms as well as submitting fees on time to verifying and submitting the documents mentioned in the time provided.
3. One candidate can have only one counseling at a time as the State Counselling or All India Counselling.
4. As for your question/query, you are asking about multiple state quota counseling and now I just want you to think twice about what you just asked.
Because I assume that you are all familiar with the domicile issue and if not then I will inform you.
The Concept of domicile certificate sys for itself that you as a candidate belonging to a certain state, district, region, area, etc. and thus your preferred area remains in which you stay since you were born or where you spent most of your life then it is issued.
Now, the candidate from a state whose cutoff always remains high gets relatively low cutoffs in his/her region and are considered relatively low in comparison with the other candidates from his/her state but then he/she applies in another state which always has low cutoffs and now the person has relatively higher cutoffs as compared to the candidates in that other state and nails the admission.
And the candidates from that state bear the consequences and thus the rule was announced.
5. Now whether you take State quota (SQ) or AIQ (All India Quota), the process is just the same but a bit more complex on either of levels.
If you consider to go for any of the counseling during the choice filling, there is a rule which can be very beneficial to those candidates of the same category because each college either government or semi-government or private medical college has to submit the types of seats reserved and accommodated with respect to the rules of MCI and thus there is a percentage of seats or actual number of seats available is mentioned for each category as well as PH-Physically Handicapped as well as NRI-Non-Residential Indian as well as PWD and other category with UR-Unreserved, SC-Scheduled Castes, ST-Scheduled Tribes and OBC-Other Backward Classes and thus they are alloted and that is the reason to ask your category in the forms, in personal as well as on paper in the admission procedure.
6. As for your question goes, by using the category rank it gives you information about your position or more o less your NEET Score's position with respect to all other candidates in the same category as you and thus you can count your possibility to get the dream seat in your dream college and consider that you will get admission in it or not.
7. As a Career-forming and directing as well as guiding website, we want to promote what is right and beneficial for the candidate and suggest and guide the student into the best career possible and you have lots of potential and I recommend you to use that in the most rightful manner to yourself as well as the society around you.
I seriously admire your intelligence to ask such a thing and do not ever forget that and stay curious.
if you have any other query about NEET, Career, AIIMS, JIPMER, HOSPITALS, Doctors, Colleges as well as the admission and verification process or any other topic; you just need to ask a question as a separate query.
I Consider your query has met with its conclusion.
ALL THE BEST NEXT GENERATION DOCTOR!!
