NDA Examination is conducted by UPSC followed by SSB Interview for Officer Training (Navy, Army, Air Force) at National Defence Academy. The NDA Exam is conducted twice a year, with the Age Criteria between 16.5-19.5 Years.

NDA exam is used to get admission in NDA (National Defense Academy), it isn't a normal undergraduate course that every other university would offer. NDA is situated at Khadakwasla near Pune, Maharashtra, it is the first full time joint defense training institution where all the cadets from all the three wings (Army, Navy, and Air force) train attend to their initial training before they go to their respective branch.
Eligibility criteria for NDA: the candidate must have complete class 12th with science stream (with subjects like physics, chemistry and mathematics) to be eligible for all the 3 wings, whereas the students from commerce background(with mathematics) are only eligible for India Army and not for Navy or Air Force.
