Hi ajay, for any kind of choice filling after any entrance exam of any college/unolibersity of any field provisional merit list is blie print of original merit list or we can say that its trial list. From this list you can get idea like in actualt merit list where are you standing. Based on provisional merit list you can decide in actual list where you can get an admission or which are the colleges/univversities you can fill. Hope this is helpful to clear your dilemma.
