What is the weightage of 10th 12th and graduation marks in XAT?
Ankita there is no special weightage of 10th, 12th class or graduation percentage IN XAT exam. You will get score and percentile all on the basis of your performance in XAT exam.
The weightage all depends on college to college how much weightage is needed to be given to academic records. After every MBA exam whether it is CAT or XAT or any other exam, all the colleges in which you have applied makes a merit list to call students for next round of interview and WSAT based on your aggregate score which comprises of many factors such as XAT marks, 10th 12th and graduation percentage, work experience, engineer or non-engineer with different weight for different colleges.
Generally, overall weight for academic records is from 10-20% in the first merit list. After second round again a new merit list is made including interview and WSAT marks. In this merit list weight of academic records decreases to 5-10%. Some of the colleges even don't add academic records in the final merit list.
So if you have pretty good academic records then it will help you in the selection process. If it is not good then you need to aim for a very high percentile for the first call from college and perform in an excellent way in the second round of interview and WSAT to ensure your selection.
