Generally they have to develop an algorithm, module, technique or analyser for a bigger project.

The language mostly chosen is Python, and sometimes C++ is preferred as it is faster.

The code that these engineers make should be well commented, and validated with some other kinds of results. And there are lot of projects now available with the advent of Machine learning , which is much needed armour for the remote sensing data.

ISRO owns lots of data center and wide variety of complex network and also  artificial neural network is emerging
