To get admission in DY Patil Institute of Management you must appear for any of the following exams MAHCET/CAT/MAT/GMAT/CMAT/ATMA/XAT. Then you will need to register for the college by filling up the application form. The tentative date for the start of registration is 1st week of April. This form will be available online on their official website and can be downloaded. You can also collect it from the college's Pune office. All the filled in forms must be submitted to the office along with the mentioned documents. On the basis of that a merit list will be prepared considering both the scores of your respective entrance exam and overall academic scores. If your name is listed in the merit list then you need to go to the corporate office of the college along with your 10th, 12th and graduation certificates. Counselling will be done on this day itself and you will be alloted a campus according to your performance and preference.

D.Y.Patil Institute of Management is connected with DTE, Maharashtra. The college follows application process as per DTE(Director Of Technical Education). As per DTE process there are some step as follows :

1. Online registration for admission on DTE website which started in mid may or start june.

2. After application are submitted, Document verification, uploading and confirmation of application takes place meanwhile.

3. Provisional merit list will display in first week of june.

4. Student can fill their grievances, if any after displaying list.

5. Final merit list will be displayed in second week of june. Category wise seats will display in CAP round 1 in third week of june.

6. Same process will repeat till third round. The overall counselling process completed in august .

Till date exact schedule of cap counselling not declaired but within few days it will be announced.
