There are no fix marks required to pass in JEE Main as it depends on several factors including
1) the difficulty level of the exam,
2) number of candidates writing the exam
3) the participated colleges, etc.

Actually there is no passing marks as such for JEE Main Exam. Your marks will determine your rank, which in turn will determine your college.

So if you want a good college, you need a good rank. For a good rank, you need a good score. Although, to be eligible for IIT and NIT you need to have 75% in your boards exam.

Many students are worried about the cut off. Don't do this. Focus on the best you can do. Focusing of cut off will stress you. Well, you can know the cut off of previous years but that won't help you. It is the time to focus the best you can do to get marks more than 150. And it's not at all difficult.

the cut off for the jee is varied for year to year based on number of students appeared and highest got in that year for reservations also cut off varies for OC may have more than 100 marks OBC upto 70-80 like that better target for 120 no problem will occure

There is no such criteria of passing marks in JEE Main is totally depends on the cutoff score. This cutoff score vary year to year based on the number of students appearing. The JEE cutoff is also based on the category you belong.

Hello,

There is no passing marks for jee mains exam.However, there is cutoff marks in jee mains for those students who want to apply and appear for jee advanced exam.It was 81 marks out of 360 in 2017 for general category students.It varies every year according to number of students appearing in the exam and difficulty level of question paper.

In 2016,it was 100 marks for general category students.So try to maintain a score  around 100 marks to be eligible to appear for jee advanced.

There is actually no pass mark in JEE Main. Everyone including the ones getting zero or negative marks will be given ranks. The qualifying marks mentioned in JEE Main will be for appearing in JEE Advanced and for that you can refer to this article
