TNEA is not an exam. It is the Counselling process for admission to Engineering and Technology Courses in Anna University and its affiliated Colleges of Tamilnadu. So Anna University conducts Counselling based on marks scored in your 12th for admission to BE/B.Tech courses in various colleges of Tamilnadu. Eligible Candidates of Tamilnadu and other States can apply for Counselling. Based on the marks you have scored, you are allotted a College during Counselling. This is more or less the Counselling process. The process includes various Steps like Registration, Payment, Choice Filling, Allotment of seat and Seat Confirmation. Once you complete your Registration process, you need to upload the required documents for document verification. Upon this you will be assigned a Random number. This Random number is used at Document Verification centres for Offline document verification. Upon successful document verification, a merit list is released and then seats are allotted in the Counselling.
