The United States Medical Licensing Examination(USMLE) is 3 step exam for medical candidate to practice in the US. MD degree physicians must pass this exam to practice medicine in the US. But if one is not US/Canadian trained then that person cannot take the USMLE part 2 without getting through the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates. After you pass the USMLE 2, you need to do 3 years training. After you pass USMLE part 3 and complete a US residency, you may get job in US.
Types of job opportubities:-
In surgery residency program, the applicant can enter into super speciality surgical branches.
In radiology residency, it involves CT, MRI and USG and later into radiology.

USMLE is nothing but the United State Medical Licensing Examination is a three step examination for the medical insurance in united state. It is sponcered by Federation of state Medical Boards(FSMB) and the National Board of Medical examiners.(NBME). The USMLE assesses a physicians ability to apply knowledge, concepts & principles and to determine fundamental patients centered skills that are important in health and disease and that constitute the basis of safe and effective patient care.
This exam consist of three steps and you must be passed before a physician M.D.degree is eligible to apply for unrestructed license to practice medicine in united states. Student who are graduated outside from united state and canada must passed all 3 steps of USMLE.
If you wish to persue a internal medicine or family medicine or psychitary ,community medicine, surgery residency, radiology residency, you just have to clear exam, generally seats are vacant there. If you preparing for USMLE let you know the clinical aspects of the things we studied in school. Also training is more better compared to govt. colleges. The main thing pay is much better in residensy. One suggestion is you should your PG where you want to settle.
