Of the four campuses of VIT University, Vellore and Cennai are the old ones, while Bhopal and Amravati are only recently established. Being new campuses Bhopal and Amravati are low on the priority list of students. Also, among Vellore and Chennai campuses, the former is more in demand as can be seen by the cutoffs. You will most likely need a higher rank for admission at VIT Vellore.

I hope you must be knowing what is cutoff? If not, let me tell you, it is the minimum marks required to get admission in the institute and the course, that means, it varies from one B.Tech course to another. The cutoff is usually released in the form of opening and closing ranks and for all category candidates. This means that if you secured even a single mark less than VIT cutoff, then you will not be allowed admission in the institute and the course, you desired for.

There is a fact about VITEEE, that I thought of sharing with you. Earlier VIT had campuses only in Vellore and Chennai, now they have campuses in Bhopal and Amravati too.
