Hello there!!

Biotechnology is a rapidly developing field. Many private businesses are exploring this field and heavily investing in it. It is safe to say that there are ample job opportunities for B.Tech. Biotechnology Graduates in private sector. Government sector too offers job opportunities but not in the scale in which private sector does. Average starting salary is generally between 2.4 to 5 Lakh Rupees per year.

Also you can apply into a pharmaceutical or medical sector company after completion of your course.

Many students prefer to do MBA or join non core companies as financial advisor, market analyst, etc. A few prefer to have a job in other countries also as there is a bit more scope after doing B. Tech in biotechnology.

Hope this helps.
