As shefali said that there are different opportunities available in mechanical field. I can tell you that if you can crack gate with good marks definitely you'll get into any jobs provided by public and private sector. You can also do masters if you're not interested in doing job after getting good gate marks only.

Mechanical branch is one of the evergreen and oldest branch in engineering.
There is good scope in both public and private sector.
After completing mechanical engineering you can work as Automotive engineer, Biomedical engineer, Heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) engineer Nuclear engineer and Robotics engineer.
