Hello Srinivas,
JIPMER stands for Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research. It was a single stage medical entrance for admission into MBBS seats in two JIPMER branches , JIPMER, Puducherry (150 seats) and JIPMER, Karaikal (50 seats). After the exam a counselling process will be done for selecting candidates based on the rank. It is a 2 hour 30 min exam. For taking this exam the candidate must be an Indian or overseas citizens of India or NRIs above the age of 17 with compulsory high school education in biology or biotechnology along with physics and chemistry and should have a total aggregate of 60% or above. For reserved or PwD candidates it is 50%. But this year JIPMER's own MBBS entrance test has been discontinued and all admissions to the MBBS course at JIPMER will be made through the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) . However, JIPMER still holds entrance for postgraduate medical programmes such as MS or MD. The same was recently conducted on June 21, 2020.
Hope it helps
