What kind of interview the Jamia Millia Islamia University take and what kind of questions they ask
- This mainly depends on what course you want to pursue in college
- For Undergraduate courses- The interview would primarily revolve around you. So, they can ask you general questions about you and your family background, and a bit about why you want to pursue that particular course.
- For Masters- This will be more about checking your inter personal skills- the way you speak, you SHOULD BE FORMALLY DRESSED. I'll advise you to be prepared to answer the questions about current scenarios, DO READ THE NEWSPAPER HEADLINES FOR THE CURRENT AS WELL AS PAST 2 DAYS ATLEAST. Also, generally there is a group discussion prior to these interview, so be prepared to talk in the group, CLEAR VOICE AND CONFIDENT. And yes have a general overview of the course you are being interviewed for and be prepared to answer “Why do you want to pursue this?”
- For Doctoral- A brief about yourself, but majorly about your Research Proposal or the Thesis. Be prepared fully about the topic and have a rough idea about how will you be conducting your research i.e. the research methodology. Your previous studies will not matter much as long as you can justify your proposal selection.
I'll again say, not all the courses have an interview conducted as a screening method. Majority of them just have an entrance test followed by a group discussion.
Hope your query is solved!
All the best!
