Hi,
There are many scopes after MSc Biotechnology.
If you want to go into research, or even teaching go for CSIR NET or any national level JRF exam and do PhD, if you are really keen in this subject and deeply study it, it will help you getting good package and again it may take around 3–4 yrs after MSc
If you directly want to do a job, one can go in various biotech fields quality analyst , patent analyst, or claim analyst, if you are ready to relocate than in south, Bangalore ,or Ahmedabad, you can find research analyst job in good companies, ( though it’s difficult) most big companies take only experienced one and the salary package in any job would be starting from 10–25k during training , not more than this .there is a exam BCIL DBT which also provides good company training
Acquire another degree , if you don’t want to go into research or biotechnology and want good salary too , do MBA (if you want to work into corporate management and leadership), Law , (do law or become patent officer or lawyer) , since biotech is not eligible for BEd
You can also prepare for govt. job seeing the reality of biotech field if you want to settle early in India , go for SSC, Banking PO or UPSC or other exams is good option too.
Govt. project associates , I would say yes there are vacancy but it’s very very difficult to get those project , until you are extra ordinary or jack, good for experience but for income point of view , not good enough for longer run.
Last but not the least you can work in different field too, online teaching, Consultancy , Marketing and other sector job , which obviously difficult too, there are better scopes in foreign countries such a Germany , Canada etc.
In the last what I’m telling you, It’s very patient field, not a money making field, in starting, it requires lot of hardwork of course opportunities are there but struggle too.
Hope this helps.
