IPS is the prestigious civil services exam conducted by UPSC
Educational qualifications: All you need to have is a graduation degree from any recognized university to appear for IPS, i.e., for Civil Services Exam.
Eligibility Criteria :
1.Age limit
21 years must be completed on 1st August of the year, which a candidate is appearing. Maximum 30 for general category, 33 for OBC and 35 for SC/ST . Ex-servicemen will get 5 more years exemption from the prescribed age limit The date of birth accepted by the Commission is that entered in the Matriculation or Secondary School Leaving Certificate or in a certificate recognized by an Indian University as equivalent to Matriculation or in an extract from a Register of Matriculates maintained by a University, which extract must be certified by the proper authority of the University or in the Higher Secondary or an equivalent examination certificate.

Education qualification required for IPS
- The interested candidate is required to have at least a bachelor’s degree from a recognised university to take up the UPSC exam.
- The candidates who have written the final year exams of the qualifying exam (bachelor’s degree) and are awaiting results can apply.
- Candidates who would write the final exam are also eligible to apply for the UPSC prelims exam. But, these candidates are required to produce the proof of passing the exam while applying for the IAS mains exam.
