What kind of questions are asked in the QA short answer type questions?

Hi Surjasarathi! The QA or Quantitative Ability section consists of broad topics of Arithmetic, Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Mensuration, Higher Math etc. The topics can range from the following:

  • Number Systems

  • LCM & HCF

  • Profit, Loss & Discount

  • Percentages

  • Speed, Time & Distance

  • Time & Work

  • Simple & Compound Interest

  • Ratio & Proportion

  • Averages

  • Quadratic & Linear Equations

  • Complex Numbers

  • Logarithm

  • Binomial Theorem

  • Sequences & Series

  • Surds & Indices

  • Inequalities

  • Probability, Permutation and Combination

  • Set Theory

  • Functions & Geometry

  • Mixtures & Allegations

  • Trigonometry

  • Coordinate Geometry & Mensuration, etc.

Now as far as the option wise questions and TITA (Type In the Answer) type are concerned, there is no specific topic wise demarcation. You may expect any topic or areas of QA to be asked under MCQ or Non-MCQs.
