what marks should I score in order to get a iit like iit Roorkee, iit delhi....in 2021?(OBC category student)
It is difficult to predict the marks because the total marks for JEE Advanced changes every year. If you belong to OBC-CL then you come under general category, in 2020 the cut off marks for general category was minimum 69 aggregate marks and 6 minimum marks. The total marks were 396 in 2020 considering this you need to score minimum 17.5% aggregate marks of total score to qualify but the chances are low to get seat in IIT if you just score cut off marks you need to score 45-50% total score to have decent chances of getting seat IIT of your choice.
If you come under OBC-NCL then you need to score 35-40% marks of total score. But this is based on this year data the total marks changes so the minimum marks that you have to score also changes. This is the estimated percentage of marks you may have to score.
Hello Aspirant,
As we know that IITs are ranked among top engineering institutions in India and even IIT Roorkee, IIT Delhi, IIT Bombay and likewise are top IITs and there is very tough competition to get seat in it therefore the cut-off also goes very high for these institutions because seats are limited and aspirants are much numerous as compared to that of seats.
Now if you want to secure seat in the mentioned IITs with OBC category then you should have you CRL under 7,000 approx.
You can get details about previous year's cut-off for IITs from the link given below :-
