Hello Aspirant,
Microbiology is the study of microorganisms , hence the primary job of a microbiologist would be to study the characteristics and growth of microorganisms like virus, bacteria, fungi, and algae, hence most core jobs in this area will include lab work. However ,if you do not wish to work in the core field , then you may go for general careers options in the same area. One common option would be teaching , you can either go school or college teaching based on your interest ans aptitude. For this you may need an M.Sc degree in microobiology at the least. Apart form teaching,if you have good communication and convincing skills, you may try sales and marketing in related sectors like pharmaceuticals , agriculture ,food industry or any other relevant area. If you are not good with people , then you can become a technical writer, content developer or subject matter expert in microbiology or related specializations.Medical coding or transcription is another option. So I suggest you to analyse your skills and interests , in order to find where you would suit the best.
