Hello. It depends on your home state (if you are applying for State counselling). The cut off ranks vary in different states with it being around 30000 air closing rank in west bengal to around 20000 in rajasthan for govt colleges. However you can get a seat in deemed universities even with a rank upto 1 lakh (although its fees per semester is high). I hope this helped.

Hello student,

A minimum all India rank, as you asked, can vary with states. For example, A person with a particular rank cannot get a seat in his/ her respective state while another one with a score lower than him can get a seat in their corresponding states. So, if you could please help us with your state, in which you hold domicile for, we could exactly help you with the answer. However you can go through the following link to know about the cut off's and ranks for the previous years and calculate your chances of selection

Good luck

Hi Sandeep!

The trend keep changing every year and we cannot predict exactly what rank you should get in order to get a government college but going by previous trends I would say that a general category student will have to score between 550- 600+ in order to secure a decent government college seat. A score of 500+ may also get government college, but one should ideally aim for 550+.

Good luck!

Hi Manish! As said above, we cannot predict what ranks/marks will guarantee you a government medical college seat, but going by prevoous trends, the safest bracket to aim for would be 550-600+. 500+ may also be able to secure a government seat but to be on the safer side, one should ideally have a score of 550+. Good luck!
