You stated that board marks is 96, assuming it as 96% marks in boards.
Eligibility criteria:
Regarding the marks in NATA i.e. National Aptitude Test in Architecture which is an exam of 200 marks. Out of that 200 marks you need to score at least 70 marks to qualify for the application for admission.
In the borads you need at least 50% marks and you have 96%, so thats not the point of worry for you.
Calculation of merit:
The merit is calculated as follows:
Your boards marks as well as your score in NATA test carries equal weightage i.e. 50% each.
The board marks would be converted to 50% of what you have scored and the NATA score would be calculated out of 50.
For example:
You scored 96% in boards and 160 marks in NATA.
Then the boards would be done 50% i.e it would be 48 and the NATA score out of 50 would be (160/4) i.e. 40.
Hence your total merit score would be 88.
In this way your merit score would be calculated.
Seats:
There is total of 80 seats out of which 40 is reserved for students of Gujrat and 40 for students from all over India.
Cutoff:
Generally in last few years the cutoff fot the CEPT has been somewhere above 80 merit marks.
What you need to score:
Assuming the cutoff to be 83
As you already have a merit score of 48 from the boards exam then you need (83-48) i.e. 35
Converting 35 to the scale of 200 would be 140
Hence you need a minimum marks of 140 in NATA exam to qualify for CEPT.
I would suggest you to go for 150 marks and above in NATA to increase your chances.
Best of luck.
