What patter follow for entrance exam in doon university

The Exam Pattern for doon university is as follows:
- Separate entrance tests for different programmes.
- Duration of Entrance Test: 2 (two) hours
- Mode of test: Multiple choice questions (except for M.Phil, Ph.D. Programmes in Economics and Communication)
- Note: Question papers of entrance test of previous years (except of new programmes being introduced) will be available at www.doonuniversity.ac.in or could be purchased from the University counter on payment.
Exam Schema for Various Courses:
- Selection for admission to a programme shall be made on the basis of Entrance Test conducted by the University at various test centres . All candidates, including candidates belonging to reserved category are required to appear in the Entrance Test.
- Except for the M.Phil and Ph.D. programmes in Economics and Communication, the Entrance Test for rest of the programmes will be Objective type and may be conducted using OMR sheets.
- There shall be separate papers for Entrance test for various programmes of studies.
- Wherever applicable, the weightage of written test and interview shall be 70 percent and 30 percent, respectively.
For MBA Program:
For two year MBA Programme the admission will be based on MAT score. The applicant will be invited for group discussion and interview.
For Ph.D. / M.Phil Program:
For Ph.D. / M.Phil students- there will be Entrance Test followed by an interview in all disciplines. However, candidates who have qualified NET/ JRF entrance test for Junior Research Fellowship conducted by CSIR / UGC / DBT / ICMR / ICSSR / DAE or any regulatory body or holder of INSPIRE fellowship from DST shall be exempted from entrance test . Those who have 2 years of teaching and / or research work experience or have a M.Phil. Degree with an evidence of one published paper in a referred journal shall be exempted from entrance test.
For B.Tech & M.Tech Program:
For M.Tech. Admission will be based on entrance test followed by interview. In case of candidates with B.Tech. Degree the admission will be based on GATE Score and interview; and in case of candidates with JRF / NET (UGC/ CSIR/ ICMR etc.) admission will be based on only interview.
For PG Diploma Program:
For admission to PG Diploma in Health and Hospital Management programme , working medical, health and hospital professionals and staff would be screened, based on their application and statement of purpose by the screening committee.
For Certificate Program:
- Admissions to Certificate Programme in languages (part time-evening classes) are open to all candidates possessing minimum Senior Secondary qualification.
- The candidates found using unfair means during the Entrance Test shall be disqualified from the Test and their application for admission shall be rejected.
