In the JEE Mains Chemistry paper, 30 percent of weightage is given to the organic chemistry (i.e, chapters like Purification and Characterization of Organic Compounds. Some basic Principles of Organic Chemistry, Hydro Carbons, Organic compounds containing Hydrogens, Oxygen and Nitrogen, Polymers, Biomolecules, Chemistry in Everyday life, Principles related to Practical Chemistry chapters are included). Whereas A total of 35 percentage of weightage in total questions is carried by In Organic (i.e, Classification of Elements and Periodicity in Properties, General Principles and Process of Isolation of Metals, Hydrogen, Block Elements, S,P,D and F block elements, Coordination compounds, Environmental Chemistry. ) And Physical Chemistry.
