Actually this is difficult to predict the marks/percentile / rank you require in JEE mains to get into NITs etc as closing rank keeps changing every year  depending upon various factors like

• number of students that appeared in the exam, kind of marks obtained by them ,

• toughness level of the jee main examination ,

• number of seats available for the branch you want etc.

But yes,

When we go through previous year trend then ,

Under other state quota , closing rank for some of the nits for which closing rank goes low are listed below along with their closing rank in the 6th round of josaa counselling 2020 for sc category  :

• National Institute of Technology nagaland, Instrumentation Engineering :- 8641 sc rank

• NIT, Raipur, Bio Medical Engineering :- 8970 sc rank

• National Institute of Technology Agartala, Biotechnology and Biochemical Engineering :- 9207 sc rank

From above, it is clear that  to be on the safer side need at least a rank of around 8000 to 9000 sc rank to get into an NIT . And to get a rank in this range, you need at atleast around 85 percentile as per our rank predictor at
