What percentile should I aim at in CAT to get a call from IIM ABC, FMS? I have 10th - 80 (ICSE) 12th - 75 (CBSE) Grad - 65.
Hi John,
ABC FMS need very high percentile from the candidate. Even ith decent acads, scores above 99 percentile are very important in order to receuve an interview call from these top institutes.
I advise that you focus on clearing sectional and overall cutoffs and hence get a call.
All the best
A work experince below one year has no weightage. Given your academics, you would need 99.96+ for IIMA, 99.3+ for IIMc. IIMB looks difficult. 99+ should do for FMS. All the Best.
Hey ,
If you are aiming for IIMs , ABC, FMS you should target above 90 percentile in CAT . However there is scope for selection below 90 percentile also but that is in the rarest for the rarest cases. Your school grades or graduation marks doesn't effects that much in the selection procedure unless you are aiming for IIMs like IIM Ahemdabad or Bangalore
HI john
Aiming is not big thing achieving is the great thing. Your aim is good but how do u achieve is matter it needs lot of patience and hardwork
If you are able to score a very high percentile like 99.7+ then you will have a good probability of getting called for the second round of WAT and interview from top 3 IIMs i.e. IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Bangalore, IIM Calcutta. If you are able to score above 98+ percentile you will have a good probability of getting calls from other old IIMs like IIM Lucknow, IIM Kozhikode, IIM Indore, IIM Shillong and with 95+ percentile you can definitely get calls from all the new IIMs and ultra new IIMs.
The work experience which can be calculated is arond 15 months.
Go through it helps you
