what percentile should i score to get into iim khazikode?
I am assuming you are from general category. Based on your overall academic profile, you will need to score atleast 98.5 percentile in CAT to get a call for the next round of IIM Kozhikode.
All the best!
I am currently studying in IIM Kozhikode and I am a 2nd year student.
To get a call from IIM Kozhikode you need to have atleast:
General Category: 98.5+ percentile
OBC: 96+ percentile
SC/ST: 85+ percentile
Above percentile are considering you are an engineer, if you are a non engineer then you get a call at a low percentile than the student of same category who is an engineer. This is done by IIMs in order to promote diversity in their college.
You need to know that for any call percentile is not the only criteria alongbwitg the high percentile you also need to have a strong profile. After CAT exam every IIM including IIM Kozhikode makes a merit list based on your aggregate score which comprises of many factors such as CAT marks, 10th 12th and graduation percentage, work experience, engineer or non engineer, gender with different weightages for different colleges.
On the basis of this merit list students are called for interview and WSAT round. Then again a new merit list is made including interview and WSAT marks to give admission.
In case of IIM Kozhikode it is one of the college which gives more weightage to work experience and in the final list it gives weightage to CAT marks, interview, WSAT marks and work experience.
Don't worry if you are even a fresher because in my batch there are around 20-30% students who are freshers. To overcome the loss due to being a fresher and to increase probability of conversion aim for a very high percentile.
All the best for your preparations and exams!!
Interview basically depends on you. If you are able to end up your answer on a topic which is your strength then next question will be on that topic only which you will be again able to answer perfectly earning you more points. So there is nothing fixed it can be difficult for someone and easy for other in the same panel. It all depends on how you drive your interview.
Most of the questions are related to your work experience, graduation subjects, latest news, quantitative questions, General knowledge, your hobbies, interests, HR questions about yourself etc.
Basically prepare each and every word of your resume they can drill you on any word.
I recommend right now focus on CAT exam you will get enough time to prepare for it after the exam.
