Correct Answer: Mid-1960s to Mid-1970s

Solution : The correct answer is the Mid-1960s to Mid-1970s .

With the assistance of a geneticist often referred to as the father of the Green Revolution (India), M.S. Swaminathan, the Indian Government initiated the Green Revolution in 1965. The first stage of the green revolution began in the middle of the 1960s and concluded in the middle of the 1970s. The HYV seeds during this period were restricted to states like Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Punjab. The production of wheat benefited most from the HYV Seeds.
