Hello,
.
NEET counselling is held in All India Level and State Level. For All India Level, DGHS will conduct the counselling and the respective State authority will conduct the State Counselling. Once the merit list has been released, MCI will activate its website where you need to registed by paying 2 types of fees. One is refundable and the other is non refundable. The non refundable fees is your registration fees for conselling. The refundable fees is the securoty deposit. This will be refunded if you do not get any seat after all rounds of the counselling. First once you reggister for counselling, during the choice filling and locking period, you should select the colleges you want to take admission in. There is no limit for the no.of colleges that you can select. You have to lock your choices. If by any chance you do not lock your choices, the system will automatically lock your choices and allot a college for you on the basis of merit come preference. Say you are satisified with a seat that you are allotted, you take a print out of the allotment letter and join the college within the stipulated time frame along with all your original documents and fees. If you are not happy with the seat allotted, you can forfeit the seat and then participate in 2nd round of counselling. The same choice filling and locking process continues. If you are not satisfied with the seat allotted in 2nd round as well, you participate in mock round. The process is more or less the same with State Counselling also.
