Well we all know that ece engineer goes through semiconductors,diodes, synthesis of networks, microprocessors,instrumentation etc.

And everything in science is inter-related so think  to be clear with basics of your syllabus and keep your doubts on priority.It will help you alot along with the practices of practicals parallel with theory to mark up your basics clearly.

In order to be a good ECE engineer you should have a keen interest in electronics and its related fields such as digital circuits, communication devices and robotics. In physics you should basically be acquainted with communication systems, semiconductor devices and basic electrostatics. Hope this helps.

Although You'll be taught every topic again, so you need not worry about the old physics subject too much. However, if you are good at the semi-conductors chapter, it will be helpful for your first year. Rest of the topics will be new, and to be a good ECE engineer,  you must learn them well, when you are taught at college.
