If you are talking about an MBBS student, one can opt for House job in his/her own college/hospital whilst he/she prepares for the PG entrance exams.Most hospitals offer house jobs with a salary of 40k to 40k per month for a fresher MBBS.This keeps you in touch with work whilst you prepare for the PG exams.Other options are to opt for govt jobs in rural areas.

Immediately after you are done with your internship, you can join any private  hospital to get a job, the salary might not be too high. But if you do join a teaching hospital you will get a descent salary.
