What rank in NEET AIR will fall in karnataka state rank below 1000
NEET 2025: Syllabus | Most Scoring concepts | NEET PYQ's (2015-24)
All India Ranks change every year. They are dependant on various factors like your Category, NEET score, tie breaking situations and the no.of Candidates who appeared for the exam. It is just like cut offs. Cut offs change every year depending on various factors such as no.of Candidates appearing for the exam, no.of Candidates qualified, top NEET score and difficulty of the exam. It is hard to calculate a State rank based on All India Rank. Again there are Categories that need to be considered and the top NEET score for the State as well. And all these factors are not constant and so it is difficult to put a number on the rank. But to give you an approximate number, we would say 600 and above.
There are 2400 seats in government medical colleges in karnataka. Of which 15% will go to the all india quota. Out of 15% seats for AIR around 1500 seats will be available for general category. Rest will go for reservation quotas like SC,ST,OBC (1A,1B,2A,2B,3A,3B) sports quota, physical handicapped quota and then there is additional rural/urban quota.
Now if you look at previous year ranks that got admission into Karnataka medical colleges, they did vary from year to year basis. Still securing a rank of 1500 for general category would be a safer option, for securing this rank you will have to score around 340 marks. And if you are from reserved category than you need to score much less rank than the one I mentioned.
Hope it helps.
Thankyou!
