it depends on your state of origin.preferably rank below 3k is appreciable.Since you have asked for ECE,the popular course , your AEEE rank must be less than 2k.

The cutoff keeps changing every year and it depends on the number of students attempting the examination, number of available seats, difficulty level of the examination, etc. Getting CSE, ECE seats are becoming really tough these days as it has a huge demand.

For securing a ECE seat at Amrita Coimbatore campus, one should have AEEE rank below 2000 for open state students. A candidate has to have above 97 percentile in JEE Mains to get CSE and ECE seats in Coimbatore campus. These are just a prediction based on the previous year cutoff trends.
