what rank should I get in open category to get a rank below 1000 in SC category in jee main?

Hello,

Rank depends upon the cutoff trends which changes every year according to the difficulty level of the paper and number of students appeared for the exam.

Belonging to sc category if you will score marks around 180+ then surely your category rank would be around 1000.

This depends upon total number of candidates which belong to SC category that are applying for JEE MAINS this year..To get rank under 1k in SC quota you rank in general category should be less than 10k..This prediction based on previous year trends of JEE..
