To become a commercial pilot candidates has to pass 12 is examination with physics, chemistry mathematics and English with at least 50% marks. Age should be 17 is the lowest and 60 to 65 years is a limit. Candidate has to to gone through a training in government or private flying Academy club. The candidate should have to appear for an entrance examination which is IGRUA means Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Uran Academy is the conducting authority of this entrance test. There are Flying Academy in total 43 in India including Government and private Academy also. After the completion of the training they have to get private pilot licence. After that candidate has to achieve a commercial pilot licence after working through DGCA rules and regulation for 1or2 years and the flying experience under DGCA should be at least of 250 hours .
Salary of the fresher for of commercial pilot is 1.5 lacs per annum and those who gained at a gain of at least five to six years get 5 to 6 lacs per month per month in India as a commercial pilot.
