Hi candidate,

In order to become a gynecologist and obstetrician, you must need to pursue MBBS course.  After that you will be eligible to become one.

  • Choose science stream after 10th with Biology as a compulsory subject
  • After 12th, appear for the NEET or any other medical entrance examinations and obtain a good score so as to get a good college to pursue MBBS degree.
  • Complete your MBBS degree and give entrance exams for the MS / MD course.
  • Choose Gynecology as your discipline for specialization ( MS / MD ) :
  1. P.G. Diploma in Gynaecology & Obstetrics (D. G. O.) – 2 years
  2. Doctor of Medicine (MD) in Gynaecology & Obstetrics – 3 years
  3. Master of Surgery (MS) in Gynaecology & Obstetrics – 3 years
  • After successfully completing your post graduation, you will be a Gynecologist.

Hope this answer will help you.

Thank you and very good luck!!!!!
