What should a 1st year engineering student of ECE branch do to be a good engineer ?

Focus on your core and COMPUTER subject which is teaching in your college because u can seat with CS Student in placement

To be a good engineer , just focus on your core subjects and topics and do your classes regularly.

Look, engineering is about skills not just study! If you can develop your skills & explore your skills throughout your work, so you will be a very good engineering at your institution. & now a days companies are looking for extra other curricular activities, such a robotics.. Robotics is a pretty go combination & skill development activity for ECE students. So, go ahead it!

1st year is where you realize how things are. Its more about finding yourself rather than studying. You'll realize what it means to you. But if your branch is electrical, you might need to study.
