Dear Applicant,

I hope you ate doing well, about your question,

A student belonging to Reserved category get a unique opportunity of Earmarking.

In those option the student can choose a seat either under

  1. General Category
  2. Reserved Category.

Say if you secures a rank

  1. You are eligible to get a seat of your choice anywhere across India due to your rank. You can also take a seat either under General Category/Reserved Category. Or if u feel and decide to opt for a seat under General Category, your Reservation can be opted for the next Candidate in the Category list. This is called Earmarking.

Now since you are a reserved category applying candidate you are entitled to admit and get a seat  based on the merit in an open category seat. You will also have the option of taking admission in your respective reserved category seat or on an open category seat. You can choose any1

Hops this helps!!
