Let's understand the difference first.

  • Bsc in data science:
Data science degree is all about analysis, machine learning, programming skills etc.,most of the time  You will engaged with data process, data modeling etc., One of the most valuable course in India hiring with good amount of packages. You will get jobs as data scientist, financial analyst, systems analyst etc.,
starting Salary will be in between 20k to 40k

BSC in statistics:
Statistical degree is all about  analysing, collecting, interpreting numerical data, must be good In numbers for this course. Most of the you will be engaged in calculating, solving, balancing the number's. Even statics is one of the most valuable course. Can get  a job as mathematician, research assistant, etc., Starting salary will be in between 25k to 30k
.
Now Almost both the courses has same kind of value and importance. But it's all about programming and number's. So Decide according to you interest
