hi indranil, you still have 5 months time and if you work smart, you can really score well easily, i will tell you how to prepare
physics is considered one of the toughest subject for medical aspirants, but very interesting. choose any good book of your convinience, there are plenty of good books as many mentioned already. read the concepts thoroughly, understand them cover to cover, if you have doubts, clear them then and there. solve atleast 300 to 500 questions per chapter, check ,analyse and rectify your mistakes. solve again. the more you solve the merrier.initially you wont be getting many correct answers, but as you keep on doing am sure you will see your score rising. solve previous question papers too, good luck
Hi
Study plan for AIIMS 2018:-
- There are 20 questions based on general knowledge in AIIMS exam. For solving these, you can read newspapers and watch news everyday for an hour to have the best idea of the latest events happening in order to get along with the General Knowledge part in the AIIMS 2018 exam. Other most recommended GK books for AIIMS 2018 include General Knowledge Today and CSR magazines.
- Begin with procuring the precise syllabus, study material and exam details. This forms the basis of your studies over the next two years.
- Being a class XI student, you have the opportunity to streamline your preparations quite efficiently. Focus on the concepts right from the start and prepare notes simultaneously that will come handy during revisions.
- Utilize the time to understand the concepts through NCERTs. Prepare flashcards for formulae and equations for Physics and Chemistry while make diagrams and flowcharts to understand Biology concepts. These methods help you immensely while memorizing lengthy concepts.
- Once through with the concept, devote time for practice and problem solving. Practice as many sample papers as possible within the specified time to measure your knowledge and pace.
- It is helpful to enrol in a competent coaching institute to strengthen you preparations. If you are preparing from home, solve questions on online learning portals. They provide mocks that will be extremely helpful in studying for AIIMS 2018.
- If you stumble upon a doubt related to any of the topics make sure to get it answered. Take help from teachers, mentors or fellow students. Engage in constructive discussion with a community of peers and seniors.
- Keep yourself in good health, stay positive during your preparation, and do not give in to anxiety and stress!
Hope this helps!!!
Study the concepts in depth, don't read superficially.
Try to clock 100 hours a week.
Maintain your health
Sleep is crucial, else you'll get exhausted before time.
Form a study group, discuss with friends
Stay motivated.
No pain no gain, you won't get this opportunity again. Make the most of it.
Donot waste time, invest time.
Revisions are the most important
It is said that hand written notes are well remembered than printed material, make your own notes, keep reading it again and again.
The best books you can refer to are the NCERT,
For biology, refer the following.
1) Trueman's Biology vol 1 and vol 2
2) Dinesh- Objective biology
3) Pradeep publication Biology
4) GRB'S Publication Biology.
For Physics refer to he following books.
1) H.C.Verma - Concepts of Physics.
2) D.C Pandey - Objective Physics.
3) Fundamentals of physics by Walker
4) Problems in Physics by I.E.Irodov
For chemistry you can refer the following books
1) O.P Tandon - Physical Chemistry
2) Morrison and Boyd - Organic Chemistry
3) Modern ABC's of chemistry
4) J.D.Lee Inorganic chemistry
5) Dinesh
Ncerts are mandatory to have, refer the rest of the books and find out which one suits you. I would advice you not to buy all the books but to refer them and see which one is better for you.
In the end it doesn't depend upon which book is better but how good can you understand the concepts
Also, for the general knowledge subscribe magazines, they will be useful.
Hope this helps.
Goodluck!
As the aspirant of NEET/AIIMS 2018, you must understand the physics is the only section that requires consistent practice.
To make sure you study physics in a correct way read the following tips below;
NEET /AIIMS 2018 Physics
1. The first step in physics is to memorise the important concept and formulas. This will help you in solving numerical questions.
2..For NEET/AIIMS aspirants, the numerical can be a nightmare for them. Sometimes some students avoid practising numerical questions. Due to this approach, many students are not able to do well in physics section.
In case you are solving lengthy calculation, try and solve the problem through approximation.
3. To make sure that you are well versed with the concept, study HC Verma.
4. After completing each chapter take online chapter wise test. This will help you to understand your preparation level.
5. Before attending any lecture study the chapters in advance because you shouldn't come across new concepts in the class for the first time.
6. To make physics more fun, try and relate topics with your daily life. This will create more curiosity while studying physics.
7. Since physics takes a lot of time and effort to adjust to new concepts. So keep the patience and continue to make daily efforts.
Hope it helps you.

Physics is all about concepts, so it needs a lot of solving practical problems so it is very important to build all your concepts strong and clear and for that NCERT, HC Verma and aggarwal would be the best option. Also, below I am suggesting few tips which would be helpful for PCB NEET & AIIMS both - Know the syllabus - The first thing which you need to know is the complete syllabus and accordingly prepare. Important topics- Physics – Optics, Mechanics, Nuclear Physics, Thermodynamics, Chemistry – General Organic Chemistry, Mole Concept, Periodic Table, Coordination Chemistry, Chemical Bonding. Biology – Genetics, Ecology Environment, Cell Biology, Morphology, Basics of Biotechnology, Reproduction, Physiology of Animals Plants. Good Study Material - The most important element to prepare for any exam is good study materials as better to choose the standard preparation material. Create a time table as per your schedule - Get a calendar and a diary, set your priorities, set out long study hours. Take care of your health. Don’t sleep during study time. Practice NEET sample papers and previous year’s question paper - All NEET aspirants should do practice on sample and previous years papers as these would be helping them to know the important questions. Prepare notes - The best way to improve memory skills is to prepare notes while studying. Candidates should write down all the important notes in a copy or diary which can be useful for revision before the examination and save a lot of time for them. Online mocks - It would be better if you complete your syllabus till December and keep Jan-Feb for your sample papers and previous year papers and once you are done with these, start doing online mocks because these will be showing you all your weak areas along with actual paper pattern and accordingly you can practice again and this will also teach you time management skill during exam. Apart from all these, better to be confident and do not cram.
Books which you can refer - Biology: NCERT Biology of Class XI and XII, Trueman's Biology Vol 1 and 2,Objective Biology by Dinesh, Pradeep Publication's Biology, GRB Bathla's Publication's for Biology. Physics: Concepts of Physics by H. C. Verma NCERT- Physics Part 1 and Part 2 D C Pandey Objective Physics Fundamentals of Physics by Halliday, Resnick and Walker Problems in General Physics by I. E. Irodov. Chemistry: NCERT Chemistry Physical Chemistry by O.P. Tandon Organic Chemistry by Morrison and Boyd for Organic Chemistry Modern’s ABC of Chemistry for class 11th and 12th Concise Inorganic Chemistry by J. D. Lee for Inorganic Chemistry Dinesh Chemistry.
Good Luck!!!
