The correct answer is suspend, since cells exit G1 phase. Please refer to my comment down below, or refer to latest NCERT page 164.

Thank you.

Is the question regarding the G0 phase?

If yes, then then the answer is the cells exit cell cycle. It is because the cells in G0 phase have the ability to undergo cell division if necessary , ie, to replace any dead cells. So we cannot say they suspend cell cycle. If they do these cells will never undergo cell division again.Which is why the answer is exit cell cycle.

Hope the answer helped.

Hello sir. It is clearly stated in NCERT THAT " these cells thatDO NOT DIVIDE FURTHER, EXIT G1 PHASE, to enter an inactive stage called quiescent stage(G0) OF THE CELL CYCLE."This clearly means that cells EXIT G1 phase to enter G0 OF THE CELL CYCLE!!I hope you would understand.Thank you.

As far as suspension is concerned, ZOOPLANKTONS enter Diapause( suspend themselves) to escape in time and avoid harsh environment, so I believe you are wrong with respect to suspending cell activity, given the context of a cell.I hope you would find this answer satisfactory.
