It is important to practice a lot of question but it should be effective practice that is you should you should be able to solve even after a couple of months.
And also focus on solving quality problems rather than solving tons of cup cake problems. You should also focus on your speed and accuracy of your answer during solving questions. Guidelines while making the JEE Main 2020 Preparation Plan
Give equal weightage to all topics
Distribute the time needed to study it. Give more time to difficult topics and less to the ones you just need to revise.
Ensure you have scheduled revision time in the plan
Action Plan for How to Prepare for JEE Main 2020
Study a chapter and understand the concepts. NCERT books are good for this.
While studying, make sure to note important points and formulas. This short notes will be useful during revision.
After studying a chapter or topic, check how much you can recollect and to what extent you have understood the topic.
Then practice questions based on the topic studied. While practising do not go for the solution directly. Try to solve yourself, make mistakes and then correct it. This step will help you to crack JEE Main.
Make sure to give a mock test after completing the subject. Similarly ensure that you appear for as many mock tests as you can so that you can analyse your preparation levels, understand where you are making the mistakes
Use the analysis to know your weak areas and concentrate on improving while revising.
Be wise and Revise - Without revision, it is difficult to crack any exam especially one like JEE Main. You can only improve if you revise.
Clear all your concepts, doubts. Never leave a question unanswered in your mind.
Put the brake and take a break - While studying is good, it's not wise to do it continuously. So take some time off to refresh your mind before you start again. You can listen to music, play games or do what eases your brain. Physical exercise for half an hour or an hour helps in boosting the memory.
You are a dropper and you know the importance of this exam as well as time(which is most important) its totally upto you how much you can give in a single day and make the hours count.
Good Luck
For clearing jee with a good rank you need to be thorogh with the concepts as well as you should have enough practice to grasp up any question that comes before you. So, you need to solve as many questions as you can, cuz each question teaches you something or the other, it's not necessary to solve 100 questions, solve about 40-50 questions per day and grasp it's concepts nicely and revise it regularly. Itll help you the most.
Hope it helps.
Hi Dhruv,
Number of questions per day is important for your preparation, but the quality of questions (toughness, length, topic etc.) also matters. As you are a dropper you must be aware of your strengths and weaknesses in subjects as well as topics. You should choose topics and questions accordingly.
Overall the number of questions per day is a matter of subjectivity, but you should be able to solve at least 60 moderate to tough level questions in a day in sufficient time.
Dhruv on an average you need to solve a 100 questions per day.
But if you study smartly, the you can eve do with lesser number of questions. That is by skipping similar questions and filtering them accordingly.
