Hi Md,
In case if you want to pursue higher education in management domain then it is always good to work for a few years before getting admitted to any of the B Schools for MBA.
Various reasons to go for a job right after graduation before joining MBA are :
1. Weightage which will be given to the work experience field by various elite B-Schools and IIM's is very high in their selection criteria process. Colleges like IIM Bangalore, Ahmedabad and Calcutta give a high percentage to work experience field in their selection criteria.
2. In subjects like Organizational Behavior (OB) and Operations, it will be very easy for the student to understand and link classroom concepts with real-time work methods which are being applied in an organization.
3. Many consulting and operations related companies which visit the campus for recruitment will always prefer students with work experience to students who just graduated or students with no work experience.
4. In BSchool's class participation is an important factor for a student. Every student is expected to contribute for the class with a valuable point in a discussion. It would be very easy for a student with work experienced student to bring various points to the table from different domains when compared with a fresher with no work experience.
In case if one wants to pursue Higher education in Management domain outside India, in most of the foreign universities it is mandatory that the applicants should have a four-year degree in Bachelor's and minimum years of work experience prescribed by the university apart from cracking GMAT or GRE.
There are also advantages in doing MBA right after graduation like graduating at an earlier age, getting exposure to different platforms and domains, Being targeted by the sales and marketing companies with good packages, etc. But in the long run at the time of placements, these advantages will not outweigh the advantages which are being provided by work experience.
The choice of either going for a job or MBA is entirely depended on what you plan for yourself. If you aspire to earn money immediately after graduation, it is better if you find a job. However, the opportunities of job will multiply if you have an MBA Degree. Therefore, if there is no urgency for taking up a job, in my suggestion, you should go for MBA. An MBA degree fetches immense opportunity of well-paying jobs across the country. Decide as per the situation that you are in.
