Hello sir,
Belonging to commerce field, every student faces this query for undergraduate course choice among B.Com and B.Com(hons).
Let me tell you, in hons you study in a detailed mamner about the subjects while programme course just offers you a overview on particular subjects. Hence, you can have specialisation in a particular subject while pursuing hons.
If you are further willing to take job placement after graduation, be informed that b.com (hons) is lot more favoured than b.com (prog). While pursuing CA too, b.com (hons) comes to your great help.
For choosing b.com (hons), you must have passed maths in class 12. Without having maths as a subject, you aren't allowed to pursue b.com (hons). Some students choose b.com (prog) due to this reason as they are weak in maths or they don't have maths as their subject in class 12.
Hope it helps. Cheers!!
Hello Ritesh,
Both courses introduce you and teach you in detail the subjects that make up the commerce stream. Tthe eligibility criteria for admission to both courses remains the same for most colleges/ universities: HSC or equivalent, with Math and English as compulsory subjects. industry demand for the honors program under B.Com is much higher than the regular program. With the distinction between the two clear in your mind, it should be relatively easy to make your decision.
