what should I do Bsc or Bsc chemistry or Bsc honours
Hello Aspirant,
B.Sc (Hons) and B.Sc general are almost the same except B.Sc (Hons) provides a more in depth study of the subject. It is a given higher standard and B.Sc (hons) degree is more beneficial than a B.Sc degree. A student with a B.Sc (hons) degree, is normally given preference over a student with a B.Sc (general) degree. B.Sc(Hons) will focus more on advance theoretical and research concepts. To complete this degre you may have to submit a dissertation in the final year. In B.Sc(Hons) the entire focus will be on chemistry whereas B.Sc Chemistry , will be multi-disciplinary , you will study physics ,math botany, zoology, and other life sciences as allied subjects. So if you want to go for an advance research oriented career in chemistry take hons degree , instead if you want a balanced knowledge of chemistry and other sciences take B.Sc general. As a suggestion, since B.Sc (Hons) holds more value than B.Sc general , if you admission to the former ,you should take it.
All the best
