Hi student,
Civil engineering and architecture courses are very similar yet different courses. Civil engineering is basically the study of development of strong structures that focuses on the structural elements of the design , making certain that the structure can endure normal and extreme conditions, whereas architecture focuses more on aesthetics and is more concerned with the artistry, look and functionality of the design, while . along with the basic structural requirements. Both of these courses require good imagination and understanding of mechanics.
However, your interest is of utmost importance and so you should listen to yourself. Civil engineering has recently seen a surge in demand and there are various fields in which you can get to work but the variety of work is less in civil engineering than in architecture. Architecture provides more diverse work area where you can explore more and give artistic touch to your work.
So both courses have tremendous scope and thus all that remains is your interest.
Hope it helps.
Good luck!
