Look your passion, there is a lot of scopes to earn money and also get social respect from your passion, so I will suggest you do what you like because once this crucial time goes, then never it will come back, think about your future and then make your decission.

In most cases, you should follow what your passion is, because you have to have interest in what you're doing to be successful, right? The society will talk whatever they wish to, they won't come to your aid when you need them. Why listen to such people? Go with your instincts, but, always make sure to take what your parents say into consideration as well.
