According to All India Council of Technical Education, all diploma students can complete their btech course. They are also eligible to take direct entry in second year and complete their btech course in 3 years only. Some colleges have specific entrance exams for their gateway to btech course.

If want to pursue Btech after completing your diploma in engineering, then you can get lateral entry admission in the btech course, that means you are eligible to get admission in btech in directly 2nd year, the admission procedure and eligibility criteria differs from college to college, so I would request you to please mention the name of your desired college, so that we can help you out with the admission procedure and eligibility criteria of that particular college.
